Sixteen members and friends enjoyed a long overdue summer picnic at Magnolia Park on Sunday, August 22, 2021. The quiet and peaceful setting was ideal for the many of us as we shared our stories of events since the onset of the Covid pandemic. The facilities were complete with running water in the shelter and restrooms just steps away in another building. As in previous years, Dignity/Seattle provided the burgers, dog, and buns while attendees contributed a wide assortment of salads, sides, drinks, and desserts. Paula L.
Dignity/Seattle's second annual Three King's Game Day began at 2pm with a taco lunch provided by member Gerry Roling. Guest Jessica related her adventures on moving to Seattle. She also provided the fascinating game "Space Cats Fight Fascism" where in the year 3,000,000 space cats are waging a galactic rebellion against a rising tide of fascism and anti-cat bias. Unfortunately we Space Cats lost but those watching the Seahawk's game celebrated the Seahawk's win.
Great food, wonderful friends, and Delia and Annah's beautifully decorated home and generous hospitality made for a memorable Christmas Party on Sunday, December 1st. No one left hungry as there was plenty of delicious ham, salads, and pies. A big thank you goes out to those contributing to this year's collection for the purchase of wool blankets for Tent City 5 at Interbay.

McMenamin's on Queen Anne was a nice venue for Dignity/Seattle's Second Quarter Anniversaries and Birthday Brunch on Saturday, May 13th. At least two in attendance confided in having birthdays this quarter. To them we sang Happy Birthday as those from neighboring tables looked on and the pleasant staff cheered. Hope you can join us for the Annual Summer Picnic at Becky's place in Shoreline on August 5th from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. Hope also to see you at the Annual June Pride Breakfast June 24th at the Central Lutheran Church Hall from 9am to noon.
Over 1200 pounds of small packages and containers of food were packed into lunch bags thanks to Dignity/Seattle and two other volunteer groups. This June 6th volunteer event produced over 700 assorted kitted meal servings for children of Western Washington.
